Low voltage intelligent reactive power compensation cabinet
Product Features
Strong universal performance, this compensation cabinet can be combined with various cabinets at home and abroad, such as MNS, GGK, GGD, etc. The capacitor compensation combination methods are diverse and flexible, with Y‑shaped compensation method, △‑shaped compensation method, Y+△ combination compensation method and communication method diversity. It has RS‑232/485 communication interface, wireless data transmission module or GPRS module for remote communication control, accurate and safe, voltage zero crossing triggering, no surge current zero crossing cutting when put into operation, no high voltage generation when disconnected, long service life, and maintenance free service life of more than 100000 hours
Principle of power compensation
Inductive loads in the power grid, such as generators, chokes, transformers, induction heaters, and welding machines, all generate varying degrees of hysteresis, known as inductance. Inductive loads have the characteristic of being able to maintain current for a period of time even when the voltage changes direction (such as forward). Once there is a phase difference between the current and voltage, reactive power will be generated and fed back into the power grid. In the AC power grid (50/60Hz), the above process is repeated 50 or 60 times per second, so an obvious solution is to temporarily store and release these inductive power (reactive power) through capacitors, thereby reducing the reactive power exchange in the grid.
